What’s up everyone? I am so excited for this episode because I’ve never done a Spotlight episode before!
I really wanted to showcase a badass group of women who are making big moves and changing the world we live in and who better to discuss this with than a literary group of talented women who promote reading and books specifically by Black women
The Free Black Women’s Library started in NYC and has a location in Los Angeles, California and I had the opportunity to speak with one of the main organizers, Asha, from the LA location.
To donate books or send books from their wish list- please see their address below and the link here: Amazon Book
Please follow The Free Black Women’s Library on IG here: Instagram and DM them if you are in the LA area and want to help out or meet up for a book drop-off.
All of the links to this groups’ social media accounts, Patreon link as well as their bomb ass playlist on Spotify can be found below.
In this episode I mentioned two books.
If you are in the area, please check out their upcoming events every first Saturday of the month, their launch party is coming up in April and they have a big event in June as well. YAAS!! SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!
